Partnering
with the Global Water for Sustainability program offers corporations a
unique opportunity to benefit people and nature in the areas where they
operate. GLOWS is a consortium financed by the United States Agency for
International Development (USAID) working to increase social, economic,
and environmental benefits to people of the developing world through
clean water, healthy aquatic ecosystems and sustainable water resources
management. Our approach features community-based programs to improve
sanitation and potable water supplies and to conserve
biodiversity. We work to strengthen the capacities of local
organizations, and through our consortium partners, we have a
presence in nearly 100 countries around the world.
GLOWS can act as a vehicle carrying
information about the generosity, good will, and skills of your
employees, companies and institutions to many nations. Partnering with GLOWS and USAID:
- Demonstrates good corporate citizenship.
- Provides access to a growing
network of US and foreign government agencies, corporations, and
nonprofits, all of whom are potential partners for business.
- Fortifies relationships between local communities, employees and investors.
- Makes the world a better place.
Partnerships
can take many forms and be at nearly any financial level. There is also
the potential of obtaining additional matching funds from USAID through
the Global Development Alliance. The GLOWS
program prides itself on returning on-time, on-budget measurable
results to corporations. Results are then synthesized into
lessons learned and shared around the world. Contact Michael McClain [email], GLOWS Director to get more information or to discuss partnership ideas.
